Along with the MPC2000XL, and the MFC equipped Ultimate XL the MPC4000 joins the legendary music production tools of our time. Using the new Z-96 sampling engine the MPC4000 boasts the first full feature sampler ever in an MPC product. MPC4000 Specifications:

  • 24bit/96kHz sampling: All inputs/outputs are 24bit/96kHz capable.

  • Window key: Edit operations are layer-constructed as in the other Akai Professional samplers using mode keys and function keys. For the beginners, the basic editing can be made by going to the relevant pages. For those power users who want to make more complex edits, pressing the window key opens up the window to allow further editing of relevant parameters.
  • Slice sound: The same as that of MPC2000XL. Divides up the sample and assigns them to the new program automatically.
  • Beat Loop Function: Tempo is calculated from the phrase length for Pitch Shift and Time Stretch functions to change the tempo.
  • ak.Sys.: Yes. (ak.Sys. can be downloaded via internet.)
